With its roots in the historic Kirkleatham Hall, the showground is steeped in centuries of heritage, and its charming features, such as the iconic Stable Block and Toasting Gate, provide a glimpse into a time long past. These stunning architectural elements, combined with the expansive, open grounds, create a truly magical atmosphere for a festival that celebrates both tradition and imagination.
While at the festival, visitors can also explore the tranquil gardens and serene woodlands that surround the showground, offering peaceful retreats and immersive spaces where adventure and folklore come to life.

About Us
Wyldwood Renaissance Festival was created by a team of passionate and experienced re-enactors and LARPers, united by a love of history, mythology, and immersive storytelling. With years of expertise in bringing dynamic events to life, we combine creativity, professionalism, and attention to detail to deliver an experience like no other.
We are proud to be working in partnership with Redcar and Cleveland Council to bring Wyldwood Renaissance Festival to the community, with the support of the Tees Valley Combined Authority as we continue to grow and expand. Alongside this, we are fortunate to be supported by other major events and organisers across the country, including mentorship from the teams behind Fantasy Forest and Beyond Ragnarok LARP. The backing of our sponsors, traders, and volunteers has been instrumental in making this vision a reality.
Grounded in strong connections with re-enactment groups and LARP systems across the UK, our mission is to breathe life into the legends of Arthurian Britain and revive lost medieval traditions. Among our founders is a craftsman whose work has even featured on the big screen, including creating costumes for Warner Brothers’ Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves. This dedication to authenticity and artistry ensures that Wyldwood Renaissance Festival combines Hollywood-quality craftsmanship with the vibrancy of the re-enactment and LARP communities.
At Wyldwood Renaissance Festival, history and fantasy intertwine, creating a magical, family-friendly celebration where every visitor is part of the story. Step through our gates and join us in bringing the past and the fantastical together in an unforgettable celebration of culture, creativity, and community.
